The Writing Program

The Technical Writer's Program is a three-month cohort limited to 9 members for whom I coach, instruct, and proofread their writing.

Reviewing and Proofreading

I will personally read up to 7500 words each week and give you feedback on how to make it better (if needed). Your grammar will be checked and corrections pointed out by commenting in Microsoft Word.

Coaching

I will assist you by identifying resources that can help you with various aspects of your book development.

Instruction

Two online live classes using Zoom to teach writing skills, managing the book as a project, and structuring your book. This will include identifying potential publishers, or how to self-publish, write a query letter, and work with copy editors to get a book to print or e-book. We will meet weekly for 90 minutes using Zoom and each session will be recorded for your review.

Resources

Hit-and-run training is notoriously ineffective. I will be here to nudge, encourage, and support you to ensure that you actually make progress in developing your book. I will coach each of you one-on-one and once a month you can volunteer to be coached during an online session so you can receive feedback from other members of the group.

You must submit an application and be interviewed before you can enroll in this class. Use the CONTACT form to arrange for submitting an application and scheduling an interview.
